Regan Daviana Carkner

Interior Decorator

Hello, my name is Regan Carkner, and I am an Interior Decorator located in Ottawa, Ontario.

I grew up in Mallorytown, Ontario, a rural farming community halfway between Kingston and Ottawa. Growing up in an agricultural community gave me the freedom to explore my imagination to its best potential. I began my artistic path by painting, drawing, quilting, sewing, and learning basic carpentry. As part of my secondary education , I enrolled in a woodworking program. These classes later helped me complete my SHSM Red Seal.

I struggled to determine which job path would be best for me throughout my Post Secondary School experience. I discovered Interior Decorating after completing my Personal Support Worker Diploma in 2022. I felt this was the ideal combination of creativity and technicality for me! I desired a profession in which I could express myself creatively and boldly while simultaneously gaining knowledge of the technicalities of the trades.

I am currently studying part time at Georgian College, furthering my education in the Post Graduate Program Project Management. This will further develop my leadership, communication, and analytical skills. I will be exspected to graduate in the December of 2025.
